Day -5
Radiation round 3 finally done despite the Gremlins causing an IT TECH issue for 30 minutes.
Day – 6
Round 1 of radiation complete. Took 2 hours. Tired and sore from having to lay on my back in a placed position for 2 hours not allowed to move.
Time for a nap.
We are a go for tomorrow. My donor has passed all of HIS tests. Yes my donor is a male. He us from the US and is 24 years old. I will be receiving his bone marrow and my blood type will most definitely change from my B- to his O+
Currently that is all the information I am allowed to have.
I am ever so thankful for my donor and his willingness to save my life. Because of him joining the bone marrow registry through www.bethematch.org I have this opportunity to have my life changed forever.
Please if you haven’t done so yet go to the website and join today. You are just as important in beating leukemia as the chemo that they give and the doctors we pay.

Is my hair coming in brown or blonde…..though it will all fall out again…..my eyebrows or what’s left of them shows my old hair color before cancer took my hair.
Beauty and the Beast was amazing and still ranks up there as one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see it again!
Sitting here waiting to be hooked up your my infusion IV…..and mom is curled up sleeping.
Good news is that unless I spike a fever my cough is not concerning. Also my biopsy only showed 1% blasts so I am good there. They have not heard that my donor hasn’t passed his screening so we are fully a go!
And we did get clarification that I am getting marrow and not stem cells. We also learned that I will most likely be sent into early metoupause but I still can look into doing embryo adoption down the road.
The future may seem to be scary but it is bright and full of life. 3 months from now I will be ready to take on the world. 10 days from now I will be reborn and start my journey towards being cured.
Please if you haven’t yet, take the time to visit www.bethematch.org and register as a donor. You can save a life. Everyone deserves their chance at getting cured but it can only happen with your help.
Don’t let Hollywood scare you out of it. It is not as dramatic as they make it appear. So please register. There are so many out there waiting for their match.
Have a wonderful St. Patty’s Day!
